More or less. Probably less. I saw weapons in one match. Did you know we had so many warriors in one place? If I didn't know any better, I'd think I was on the set of an action movie.
[ it'd fit the profile. sunny days, dark nights. underground fight rings. all it needed was a guy calling the shots, telling who and who not to throw a match. he's letting his imagination run wild again. ]
Don't know. I knocked him out. He elbowed me in the face and I know I should have dropped him before it connected, but I was winded at the time.
[ but the point is that he eventually KO'd a guy. ]
[ and there's probably a terrible joke or quote he can toss her way but some of the effect would be lost via text so he skips it. ]
Three but who's counting?
[ he has to stop being so honest one of these days. ( spoiler: it's not tonight. ) tonight he's too out of his usual state of mind, touched by pain and the sharp bursts of it that make him certain he's alive. he knows how dangerous it is to give himself over to his emotions; to be pulled down in their currents when they're so much more powerful than they have any right to be but— ]
You should have been there. I should have invited you.
[ he can't see it, but she's giggling a bit to the 'three' comment. it's sweet, cute almost, the way he's trying to show off for her. she believes him, he doesn't have to worry about that. ]

[ and while it's relatively safe due to the amount of spotters, Ben doesn't want to soak his hands in someone else's blood. ]
I want to use what I've learned to help people, not to beat them senseless. [ but he'd be lying if he said he didn't take that face shot to ease some guilt for abandoning his family. ] How about classes at that dojo? I could swing that.
