[ her anger had broken half of her writing utensils, seeing the lead snap or become blunt beneath her own fingers. despite possessing sharp claws she could easily use to sharpen it, she takes to searching through her own mirror's room before she finds something that can guarantee her message will get across. she opts for a marker and a very simple message, intended for allison as she takes to trying to locate the other's rooms to leave them messages on their respective real mirrorside. she stops her hand from shaking, unused to writing on a mirror's surface or even finding herself on the other side of the looking glass. ]

[ she hates this event. everything about it. hates how it leaves her so on edge and hates how it makes her skin crawls. hates that she feels like she can't trust anyone, even the people she feels like she can always trust, because who knows if they're even them. it keeps her on edge and keeps her stressed and tense and she's not going to get any sleep until this is over.

[At the beginning of October, Allison will find a paper package hanging from the doorknob to her room by a string, knotted so it won't fall. Inside is a large red leather book with ornate gold trim. The title on the spine, also in gold, reads Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander. Secured to the front of the package is a note that reads (somewhat pretentiously) in elaborate, fancy handwriting:]

But this is also Adam, and though a guy with a weapon is relatively dangerous, Adam first instinct is to envision the worst case scenario: sucker punches, surprise attacks, fatal injuries a normal couldn't survive, blood staining the floor... What he doubts isn't so much Allison's ninja abilities so much as anyone's staying power. People can hurt and be hurt so easily.
